DEVIANT: What A True Man Does.

By on October 24, 2011

Deviant: How to be a real man

I’ll tell you what a true man does:

A true man isn’t concerned with the fleeting or non-sensical.

A true man loves his God.

A true man rests in the joy that he is known and loved by a God who will never ever leave or forsake him.

A true man understands his calling in life.

A true man isn’t worried about speaking the truth, in love.

A true man thinks sex isn’t about gratifying yourself right here and now, but about a ridiculously close intimacy with your wife that none can match.

A true man also knows that discipline and fortitude are true characteristics of himself. A weak man will seek instant gratification.

A true man believes that he can change the world.

A true man thinks highly of all women, not just those he’s pursuing.

A true man is not bigoted or racist, but rather loves as Jesus loved.

A true man is a servant and will work hard for the glory of God.

A true man is sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

A true man commits to devotion in his relationships––with his God or otherwise.

A true man is mentally pure.

A true man leads by example.

We are deviants. We deviate from the world’s standards, because we know there is something better.

[Editor's Note: I began by writing about how a true man really isn't concerned with the fleeting or non-sensical. Then I realized, "Holy cow, there's alot more than this." As such, I felt compelled to assemble this list. It would be a great joy to me if I was able to expound on each of these topics; we'll see.]
